I'm still marveling at the power of that 7 day New Beginnings Cleanse. I decided to re-listen to Day 6 which was led by Kevin Billet on Mastering Fear During the Midst of Personal and Financial Stress. My initial idea when starting this blog was to jot down some of the inspiring messages that Kevin said during the call and as I continued typing... the blog began to shift... as if being guided by, well the guide that is always there, Source. So I shall go with the flow and focus on only one of the many inspiring messages that Kevin shared with us.
On the call Kevin said this, "We've kept ourselves small long enough!" We've kept ourselves small long enough. Believe that message... deep within.
That statement reminded me of a very powerful poem by Marianne Williamson. If you've read this before, you can never read it too often.... and if you haven't seen this before, soak it up.
Our Deepest Fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
