A dear friend of The Journey sent us this poem the other day and she so kindly said we could share it with you. Enjoy the beauty...
To Confusion
How I long to embrace the reactive in me,
The fearful, or angry, or selfish I see;
To embrace the me that thinks there's an I
That's separate from you and can therefore feel shy;
To love the one that dwells in confusion,
Who's so often wrapped in a veil of illusion.
I yearn not to judge the one that still yearns
For something that's other than what it discerns
Is happening now that's less than it's vision
Of a kind of perfection that involves no decision.
Could I cherish myself when I try to be best,
When I fail to remember I'm just like the rest?
Oh to wake up and love the dissatisfied me
Who searches for that which will help set me free,
The me that eats chocolate, drinks coffee or wine,
Thinking their altered states could be better than Thine.
How I long to relax, to surrender and trust
Something other than me, so I'd no longer lust
For a limited vision that's separate and small,
That's defined and exclusive, not welcoming all.
Maybe Freedom is knowing perfection is here
In that dissatisfaction, those judgments, that fear,
In all of the ways I resist what is now,
So to all my confusion, I humbly bow.
Please may I remember, Leonard Cohen was right -
Everything has a crack, through the crack comes the light.

Journey Big Bang!
I wanted to point out an exciting special that is going to take place in Bremerton, Washington! 3 events at one location! Starting on June 27, 2009, we will have three events all in a row: The Journey Intensive (June 27-28), Liberating Kids' Shining Potential (June 29), and Advanced Skills (June 30)!
Here's a quick peek at what these three workshops are about:
The Journey Intensive
In the Journey processes you are guided to uncover specific cell memories, resolve them completely and clear them out. Your body and being then go about the process of healing quite naturally, automatically and you are left soaring in a boundless joy, peace and wholeness that is your own essence.
Advanced Skills
It is an in-depth, hands on workshop designed to teach you a huge variety of additional processing skills that will help you work with just about any issue that might arise. You will be diving even deeper by learning to incorporate 6 additional mini-processes to facilitate profound forgiveness and healing.
Liberating Kids' Shining Potential
This workshop is to help give new skills and tools to Parents, Teachers and Caregivers who are looking for a way to unlock and free the boundless potential in their children. At this fun-filled interactive one day workshop designed for adults, you'll learn specific skills and techniques that will enable you to facilitate any child from age 5 on up!

A thought...
Have you ever noticed that the only difference between "think" and "thank" is one letter?
I haven't decided what that means, but it's got to be absolutely HUGE.
Two words you don't want to leave home without!

A thought....
When you can look beneath their behavior that hurt you, dear one, and you can see the frightened child - it becomes nearly impossible to be angry and carry a grudge.
And you so can.
And you so can.

A Beautiful Testimony
Hi Skip,
I read Brandon’s holiday letter to us and the phrase ‘let Grace use me’ stayed with me – and so that became words I spoke every day. Then it became ‘Grace lead me’ – and then the yellow brick road was there! When I was a trainer at an intensive in Denver when my son, Clay became very ill with the stomach flu and a child with CAH getting the stomach flu can be serious – and that time it was because he ended up in the ER having an adrenal crisis. I came to the Journey because of my fear, deep fear of my son dying – it was paralyzing and heart-wrenching at times. And here I was in Denver, in a hotel room, with paramedics all around and my sweet angel lying there limp with an oxygen mask on. Oh God, give me strength to slow this down because I had to give him a steroid shot – and this was the first time I had ever given it to him. Here I was with trained personnel around me – and they couldn’t ‘legally’ give my son a shot that would save his life. It was up to me. Literally, I had to tell them to ‘stop’ so I could do the one thing that would ‘guarantee’ his survival.
And then the gift…. this week, I got a call from CARES Foundation, the non-profit for congenital adrenal hyperplasia, in which I sit on the board, to go to Washington, D.C. to be the spokesperson/advocate for all EMS nationwide to carry solu-cortef on their trucks and to be able to administer the inject to persons with CAH!
I now know why it all happened that weekend, that way – I was surrounded by the love of Grace and my journey family. Brandon, thank you for sitting in your own fire so that we too can sit in ours - it is in the fire where the Light shines the brightest and our diamond selves sparkle with brilliance, love and Grace. Tears rolled down my cheeks as they are right now, knowing that the gifts of the journey are so simple and real and it permeates all souls. I am so deeply grateful to have these tools so that I can guide emotionally intelligent souls who can feel their feelings and know they are ‘safe, whole, free and loved’.
So I have a wish, a deep desire to create a way, a means for those of us raising children in this paradigm of consciousness, a part of our Journey family, to be able to support one another. To share our trials and errors, words and actions, Love and Grace.
And as my dear friend Dr.Deb’s swami said… in this time of emergency, let’s ‘emerge and see’….. let us see the Light that shines in us, around us, for us and with us – all of us!
Blessed be…..

Appreciation

"You only live once. Take time to enjoy the little things."
This moment is an invitation to take a step back from your busy schedule, your hectic day, your list of to-do's...
Focus on something (or many things) that you appreciate. Maybe it's something in nature. Maybe the sun is shining through your window and you haven't stopped all day to say, Thank you Sunshine! Or maybe a bird is singing outside and it's been background noise all day... bring it forward and just listen for a moment.
Or maybe you feel like appreciating someone in your life. All the little things that people do for you throughout the day. Sometimes the little things go by overlooked. Think of those things right now. The little gestures that your loved ones show because they care about you.
You might even feel like taking the time to tell someone, "Thank you for all you do. I appreciate you."

Whales

I had the incredible opportunity to go whale watching last weekend. Humpback whales are migrating from Alaska (their feeding ground) to Hawaii (their mating ground). What an amazing experience. I found the poem below and it totally explained the silence the moment you see the tail raise above the water. Sometimes you can find the words to describe such beauty and sometimes it's best to let someone elses words fill in the space that Grace created in your heart.
First Voyage
It is a spiritual universe. And together we slipped away under a starry sky from the continents and islands we knew,to meet ourselves — in the light of a dazzling dawn.
With a deep calm upwelling beneath us, we cast our faith and love upon the waters to meet ourselves — for the first time.
In the knowledge that healing is possible, and that miracles can and do occur — we swam.
Grace washed over us with every sigh of whale-spout, heave of water, and sleek arch of humpback — in a glittering sea.
Was it because we couldn't touch the whales, that we were able to touch each other?
Or because the whales touched us so deeply, that we had the courage to reach out?
From mother to calf to me, a song of forgiveness passes from heart to heart to heart, until trust replaces fear—every time.

Mastering Fear
I'm still marveling at the power of that 7 day New Beginnings Cleanse. I decided to re-listen to Day 6 which was led by Kevin Billet on Mastering Fear During the Midst of Personal and Financial Stress. My initial idea when starting this blog was to jot down some of the inspiring messages that Kevin said during the call and as I continued typing... the blog began to shift... as if being guided by, well the guide that is always there, Source. So I shall go with the flow and focus on only one of the many inspiring messages that Kevin shared with us.
On the call Kevin said this, "We've kept ourselves small long enough!" We've kept ourselves small long enough. Believe that message... deep within.
That statement reminded me of a very powerful poem by Marianne Williamson. If you've read this before, you can never read it too often.... and if you haven't seen this before, soak it up.
Our Deepest Fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Early Morning Peace
A recipe to a day led through your heart. . .
Wake with new eyes, and a new sense of vision. For all past no longer exists. Any remnants or memories give to Gaia, she is always thirsty to swallow our fears. Start with a tall glass of water, a good over head stretch, a smile inside and out.
Sit still.... check in. How do you feel, your body, mind and spirit.... where is the medicine needed.... provide with the breathe. Slow, deep, and steady.... feel yourself expand with new opportunity and endless possibility. Say yes to the Cosmos, radiate to receive. Feel your chest opening with each inhalation and expanding fresh upon your sweet exhale. Smile some more, it is a miracle you are alive, we are alive, we are one.
Gratitude. Truly profound. As you center feel for the heart's beat, let it lead your step through out the day. Set intention.... Be out there with it, yet clear... remember miracles are an everyday occurrence, we just need to allow.
This is another dream world, where perfection does not exist, but peace flows strong through the souls of the willing. Forget all that you know, exist as a innocent child, close to source.... and Listen, listen , listen, your angels will speak. Allow for the presence of your guides to be felt and received. I wish you love, and all the power of creation.
Namaste'
May the long time sun shine upon you and your cup be filled to the brim.

Wonderfully Said
We received so many wonderful emails from people who made it on our New Beginnings Cleanse calls. We are so happy that so many people registered and made it on the calls. It makes our hearts smile here at The Journey knowing that so many people are opening up to Grace.
This particular email we received was so simply put and yet, so powerful. Thank you for all the kind words and we are so thankful that these tools are helping you all heal.
Greetings,
I thoroughly enjoyed every night and feel that they gave me tools to change my life.

Pay It Forward
The Chinese have a saying: 'When someone shares with you something of value, you have an obligation to share it with others.'
It reminds me of "Pay it Forward"... If I do something nice for you, don't do something nice back to me, pay it forward and do something nice for someone else.
I was thinking about this and a memory floated to me... I was in Chicago and went to see Lake Michigan (what a lake!)... I was standing in the sand staring out into the vast water before me and a woman came bouncing up the shore line with a bright smile and a beautiful bouquet of bright flowers. I couldn't help but smile as I looked at her and then she came bouncing right up to me.
"Hello," she said, "These flowers were given to me earlier today by a stranger, for no other reason than to brighten my day. And it worked! I've been smiling and glowing since I received them... and then I realized I wanted to brighten someone else's day too! So here... these are for you, for no other reason than to brighten your day." She handed me the flowers and off she went.
It worked! I couldn't stop smiling and I felt myself bouncing back to my car. I couldn't wait to find a stranger and brighten their day... and that's exactly what I did. What a simple way to make the world a brighter place.... Go ahead, try it out! I bet you can't keep yourself from bouncing along too!

Making A Real Difference
Hello dear souls! The Journey has now made YouTube. What a success! :) Seems like you can find anything and everything on youtube now a days. A friend of mine told me yesterday that he learned how to tie a tie by looking on youtube, something he never learned from his father. He was so excited. haha!
The "Making a Real Difference" project was originally inspired by a group of friends, who all recently had the pleasure of experiencing the deep sense of truth and beauty that the Journeywork (pioneered by Brandon Bays) offers. Click here or on the picture above to view videos posted of The Journey.
I wanted to share with you my favorite part of "Making a Real Difference"- short version. A lady named Sian O'Brien was commenting on her previous healing attempts through a psychologist. She says "I had opened up wounds but not addressed them. With The Journey, anything you open up, you finish and complete with one session."
Hearing this was like a light bulb went on in my head. I've gone through many Journey processes and have talked with my share of psychologist and always wondered why the short Journey process was so much more effective than just talking with my psychologist and Ding! There's my answer. It's one thing to open your wounds and feel the pain and then walk away from it... but through the Journey process each wound is opened up, addressed, and healed. Right there. Just like that. The Journey process allows closure and with closure comes healing.
New Beginnings Cleanse
Another idea we had here at the Journey to jump start the new year, was to invite everyone to join a week long New Beginnings Cleanse. We have 2 more days to go and boy has it been an amazing week. Each day there is a new topic and each day a meditation is held by the speaker... each one different and each one amazingly touching and healing.
I wanted to post a testimonial we've received already about wonderful healing that is taking place through the New Beginnings Cleanse.
Thank you for sharing your healing and inspiring others! As you heal, you help others around you heal. Namaste.
Dear Friends,
I needed this, I so needed this. Every call, every meditation seems to be tailor made for me. I won't go into what has been going on with me as it is nothing you haven't heard before but I want to tell you that 'it' has been going on for a year now and I have been very stuck, and angry, depressed and isolating and gaining weight and NOT taking the steps to love myself despite my knowing that that is the root of my problem, always is, always has been. So, Chris, your meditation, your journey to the campfire was very moving for me. I ended up taking the pillow from behind me and holding it (her), as it is was my little me and rocking her and weeping out loud. For a year I wondered when the tears would really come, they come again as I write and I so welcome them.
I am humbled by your collective generosity in providing this for free. It adds such credence to Maryanne's meditation where the light spreads out to meet the light of all the others doing this at the same time flowing over and surrounding everyone in between. So powerful.
With buckets of gratitude and hope,

What 2009 is all about...

Greetings Friends!
With each new year brings the opportunity for a new start, a fresh page, a time to begin... The best place to start anything is at the beginning!
Here at The Journey one of our new beginnings is this blog. Our intention for this blog is to create a place for people to connect... to share their stories, to inspire others to start their journey.
Through videos and stories and letters we hope you find this a place to come when you need a 'pick-me-up' on a busy day, or something to warm your heart and make you smile, or when you need a little reminder that you are on an amazing path guided each and every moment by Source.
May 2009 be a beginning chapter of your life... a chapter full of healing and happiness.
